A BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh wrote an open letter to former bureaucrats who demanded Yogi Adityanath’s resignation over Bulandshahr violence. In the letter, he wrote that the bureaucrats are only seeing the deaths of two people but not 21 Cows.
The MLA hails from Anupshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. According to a report by news agency ANI, Sanjay Sharma, the MLA, said, “You are seeing deaths of only Sumit and a police officer but not the deaths of 21 cows. Please understand that the people who killed the cows were the real culprits. The actions of the mob stemmed from the killing of our gaumata.”

On the third of December, a violent mob killed a Policeman and a boy in the rage of alleged Cow killing in Bulanadshahr district. Yogi Adityanath told its administration to look into the case of Cow killing. A number of people from society raised their voice. They said that Yogi Adityanath is more concerned about the death of Cows but not Human Beings. Some former bureaucrats wrote a letter to Yogi Adityanath saying that he should give his resignation on moral basis.
Sharma also said that by asking Yogi Adityanath’s resignation, bureaucrats are going against the constitutional values. He said in that letter, “Not some loonies like you who are challenging a constitutional institution and framework.”
