The BJP supremo is in deep trouble as a chief investigating officer in a fake encounter claimed that BJP President Amit Shah and three other police officers were the “principal conspirators”. The encounter was done in 2006. The other three officers named by the investing officers are, DG Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandiyan and Dinesh MN. The news is confirmed by the Indian Express.
The encounter case links back to another fake encounter. And Amit Shah’s name is linked to both of the cases. Prajapati, who was killed in the encounter, was the only witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh case of 2005.
After the incident of the encounter of Shahabuddin, Prajapati was taken into custody by Police. After the hearing in the court, Prajapati was taken in the Udaipur jail. There he was shot by the police. The police claimed that he tried to escape, and the police shot in order to stop him.
An officer named Sandeep Tamgadge was selected to investigate the case in 2012. Tamgadge filed the charge sheet of Prajapati case in the CBI Court.
In the file, Tamagadge said that there a “politician-criminal-police nexus” running at a very high level. He claimed that Amit Shah, then Home Minister of Gujrat state and another minister of Rajasthan were working with Sohrabuddin and Prajapati. The two ministers used both the criminals in some killing and then get them killed in fake encounters with the help of Police officers.
All the high-level politicians and IPS officers were discharged from the case for lack of evidence. Only some low-level police officers are under the scrutiny of court for the conspiracy of killing Shohrabuddin and his wife.
Sandeep Tamagadge said in the file that he even had some call recording which can prove that a high-level nexus was running between politicians, police officers and criminals.
Now, the former chief Investigating officer Amitabh Thakur of the Sheikh alleged that Amit Shah and four other officers are benefited politically and monetarily from the fake encounter case. Although, he confessed he doesn’t have any solid proof against Shah and other police officers.
