Superstar Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter handle was purportedly hacked on Monday night by a Turkish hacker group, Ayyildiz Tim.
Bachchan's Twitter profile picture was changed with a photo of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and bio was changed to "Love Pakistan" and an emoji of the Turkish flag.
A representative for Mumbai Police disclosed to PTI that they have informed this to the digital unit and the issue is being resolved. The photograph of Bachchan's twitter account, which was along these lines erased, demonstrated the promotion image of the gathering with a eagle in flight.
"This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviours of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here. As Ayyildiz Tim Turkish Cyber Army," read the first tweet after the cyber -attack, which occurred around 11.40pm on Monday. Minutes after the fact another tweet pursued on Muslims in India. The group also tweeted the link of its 'official' Instagram page which was unverified, writing "We are waiting for your support."
"We have informed our cyber unit and Maharashtra Cyber about *hacked* Twitter account of @SrBachchan. They are investigating the matter. Further updates awaited,"
The Mumbai Police representative told PTI. The same Turkish hacker group had recently hacked Twitter records of entertainers Shahid Kapoor and Anupam Kher among others. The Twitter record appeared to have been reestablished inside 30 minutes.
After Amitabh Bachchan, the Turkish hacker group, Ayyildiz Tim hacked Twitter Account of Adnan Sami as well.
