There is a local firm that came up with an official website on UAE (United Arab Emirates) Iceberg Project that put some highlights on the upcoming stage and some benefits to the economy and environment.
According to the website, the National Advisor Bureau Limited has pointed out about the towing of icebergs from Antarctica to the UAE which is supposed to happen by the first quarter of 2020. As per WAM, "to leverage them as new sources of water in the region," that estimated the total cost on the project to be around $50 or $60.
By 2019, the pilot phase of the project will kick in by the second half of the year that will go towards the coast of Australia, Perth or the coast of South Africa, Cape Town.
The company is working on the development of a unique technology that will help in the reduction of the total cost of the project. It ensures that zero melting of ice will happen during the process of transportation. It also facilitates that water-transfer process will cost minimal and reasonable to the customers.
The complete project is done to provide clean water to the consumers. In 2017, the project came into public highlights when they first mentioned it to the media in UAE.
As per the WAM reports, this project has potential to place UAE at the “global tourism map”. UAE will become the first dessert company that offers the global tourism on its coasts after the launch of this project. It will also prevent the enthusiasts to travel South or the North Pole to have a look at the iceberg.
This is a great initiative taken by the UAE which will be said to be done by 2020. However, it may take some time but it is still not sure till when. With the speed the project is going on, it won’t be surprising to see it by the end of 2020. The project is a great initiative towards the global World to provide clean water to everyone.
As per the reports, clean water and underground water will be over by the end of 2025. This technology will help people to overcome the demand and the rush to have clean water. They can buy clean water at a reasonable price without any other harmful ways.
