Bolly fans had a sad news in the day today with actor Karanvir Bohra tweeting about how he has been detained in Moscow since his passport was damaged. According to sources, he said that while he is encountering problems right now, the Indian embassy in Moscow is helping him to get the matter sorted out and he is hoping for a quick remedy. Read his Tweet here here:
"So bummed... Waiting at Moscow airport because my passport is a little damaged. They are contemplating to deport me back to India. (Indian embassy in Moscow) I wished you would have told me that prior to issuing me the visa," After his tweet went viral, the Indian embassy in Moscow reverted to him via their official Twitter handle: "Embassy officials are in touch with Russian authorities regarding the issue."
Karanvir was traveling to Moscow to attend the MacCoffee Bollywood Film Festival, and departed from India on Tuesday Airport. As per sources, the Indian airport did not say anything about the damaged passport and it was only when he reached the Russian capital that immigration officials noticed it.
He spent approximately 4 hours at the airport today trying to work out a solution and we are glad that the Indian and Russian embassies and other people are trying their best to ensure that issue gets solved. Only when that happens, he can peacefully attend the film festival that he was traveling for.
Karanvir appeared in the 12th season of the popular reality TV show, Bigg Boss and his movie, "Hume Tumse Pyar Kitna" is scheduled to hit the screens later this year. Our entire team and readers wish that his issue gets sorted out soon, and he has a great time in Moscow.
