Gujarat CM Mr Vijay Rupani has raised controversy by making some derogatory comments on Congress. He said that Congress is celebrating his wins as if a new boy is born in the family.
Vijay Rupani was attending a national convention of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Gujarat’s Adalaj district on Friday. While addressing the national convention, Rupani said, “In the past 10 years, the Congress kept losing elections. In Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections recently, Congress won by five seats. Despite this, the Congress party is over-enthusiastic and it is like the enthusiasm of a family which got a male child after years.”
Rupani’s comments came after the winnings of Congress party in three states. Congress party is the largest party in MP, and it formed the Govt with the support of BSP chief Mayawati Devi.
The “Son” comment raised controversy as people are saying why just Son?, Can’t celebrations be made on the birth of Daughters. He is being heavily criticised by Women wing of Congress for his patriarchal remark. All India Mahila Morcha Congress took the issue on Tweeter and wrote, “Patriarchy thy name is BJP. Rest in peace Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.”

According to a news report by Times of India, Rupani said, “The upcoming elections are going to be historic. It is important to stop the anti-national elements, in the interest of the future generations of the country.”
