Congress is trying to bribe me, says Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi has accused the Congress leader to bribe him with 25 lakh rupees.

 

Owaisi said that the Congress leader hail from Telangana’s Nirmal constituency and attempted to bribe him by offering Rs 25 lakh to cancel his rally in support of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

 

According to a report by NDTV, The MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi claimed that he is in possession of a recording of the talk between the two, Maheshwar Reddy and a leader of his party.

 

Owaisi said to the reporters, “Now when this meeting is happening, the Congresspeople tried to buy Asaduddin Owaisi. Maheshwar phoned our leader telling him to stop Owaisi saheb, will give Rs 25 lakh party fund. What do you call such a party that is doing such a thing?”

 

According to the reports by news agency PTI, Maheshwar Reddy claimed that such thing didn’t happen. He told that Owaisi should make the recordings public if he is in possession of one. Reddy said that he is ready to leave politics if Owaisi can prove that he tried to bribe anyone.

 

 

 

Maheshwar told to the reporter, “Why should somebody stop someone’s rally? Owaisi has already started campaigning for TRS party and now this man says that he is being stopped with an offer of Rs 25 lakh. Why somebody will offer him Rs 25 lakh and why he will stop?”

 

Elections in Telangana will be held on 7th of December, while the results will be declared on 11th of December. Along with Telangana, four other states’ results will be announced on the same day. The states are; Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Rajasthan
