A Radio City radio jockey has been arrested on Sunday in an alleged case of hit and run. On Saturday the SUV car of radio city radio jockey (RJ) has rammed into the bike which was driven by a Lok Janshakti party worker at Windson place. The incidence took place when he was returning from a meeting; the crash has left the victim severely injured. Soon after he was taken to the hospital Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia hospital but was declared dead by the doctors of the hospital on the arrival.
This Friday after doing an initial investigation, the name of the radio jockey came forward and he has been arrested in the hit and run case after he fled away from the crime scene without helping the victim.
On Friday when the news broke out soon after the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal met the family members of the victim and assured of the magisterial inquiry of the incident. The family member of the deceased in the incident has called the authority for justice.
Both the vehicle has mowed down at the Raisana road where the SUV has impacted the bike so badly which left the victim injured severely. The victim has been identified as Dheeraj Kumar, around thirty-five-year-old. The alleged person responsible Ankit Gulati has been taken into the custody by the Delhi police and the appropriate probe is being done.
In relation to investigation to take place chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to the Delhi police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik for a fair investigation as well as demanded the magisterial inquiry.
An initial investigation done by the Delhi police found after searching 100 CCTV footage placed over certain areas in Delhi NCR area, shortlisted 2,677 Creta cars with black mud flap and then with the help of the barcode they selected 313 vehicles manufactures in 2018. They figured out the car to be of the Ankit Gulati” a senior officer said. Soon after then he has been arrested from his residence at Patel Nagar.
