Everything you need to know about Apple’s new iPhones

The wait for Apple fans was finally over on Wednesday, 13th September when the Cupertino technology giant commenced its annual Fall product event. The Tim Cook-led firm took the wraps off larger-screened smartphones along with a brand-new Apple Watch at the event which took place at their headquarters in Cupertino, California. Notably, this is the second such big Apple launch event which took place at the iconic Steve Jobs Theatre.

Now getting down to the real news – the firm unveiled three large-screened iPhones. The starting price of each of these iPhone devices is $1,099. The latest line-up consists of iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. The smartphones can be seen as carrying the same design as its predecessors, i.e. all of the three handsets house a front-facing camera without a notch, absence of the home button as well as an all-screen design. It goes without saying that these are perhaps, the most expensive products introduced by Apple – at least as far as the smartphone categories are concerned. The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, took to stage to announce that they intend on selling its 2 billionth iOS device soon enough.


Without further a due, let’s discuss the specifications that the smartphones seem to be offering.

As far as the Apple iPhone XS Max is concerned, the smartphone packs a 6.5-inch display and costs roughly $1,449. On the other hand, the iPhone XS sports a 5.8-inch screen and costs $999. Lastly, the iPhone XR comes for a price of $749 and looks similar to the iPhone X while sporting a 6.1-inch display. Most of the updates in these smartphones are technical by nature. Game enthusiasts will benefit quite a bit from the upcoming line-up. All of the three handsets pack improved cameras and an added feature that will enable users to refocus on their pictures after they successfully capture them. Thomas Husson, in a note to the investors, said,

“Apple has a key challenge in the next 18 to 24 months: Apple has to build a more frequent, deeper, emotion-rich, digital lifestyle relationship with consumers.”

It appears that the firm is concentrating further into its software and services, rather than the device design at the moment. As Cook rightfully said, he wants to increase the revenue they receive from their services by a double. We have no news regarding when these devices will be making it to different markets, however; official announcements are expected to commence soon.
