Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp went down for hours in many countries

Reminding us that there is life outside, too, Facebook and Instagram’s website went down for many users. Last evening, many users across the globe found the website and apps of the two social platforms inaccessible.
Many Facebook users complained that they were having problems in sharing posts and posting comments, while some even said that they couldn’t even log in their apps. Same claims were made by Instagram users.
Before that, some even had problems sending WhatsApp messages. The Whatsapp problem was mainly felt in Paraguay, India, Bangladesh, Argentina and Brazil.
According to the Tech Reviewer website The Verge, they tested the websites with multiple accounts and reported, “that Messenger couldn’t load at all on the desktop, although the mobile app was working. Instagram is markedly worse: for some users, posts aren’t loading, Instagram Stories are down, and direct messages and the button to post new content are also not working. Facebook’s ad section was not functioning either, and it led to an internal error when you tried to buy an ad.”
Both Facebook and Instagram addressed the problem on their official accounts on Twitter.

It was the biggest downtime in the history of Facebook. Along with the Social Media Giant, other apps like Tinder and Spotify also stopped to work as people have their accounts synced in.
