Google Doodle starts the celebration of the start of FIFA World Cup 2018

Even Google is excited for the start of FIFA world cup 2018. On an opening day, Google celebrates the moment by showing off a Doodle of the showpiece event held in Russia. The animated art depicts some fans that seem excited and in the centre is a man who is about to kick the ball that portrays the start of the tournament. The World cup will be played by 32 teams in total. Out of which only one team will manage to actually reach the centre stage to hold the glittering trophy high in the air.

On Thursday, the World cup will start with the match between Saudi Arabia and the host Russia at Luzhniki Stadium Moscow. Before the start of the match, there is an opening ceremony where Robbie Williams a pop icon will headline the entire event at the venue itself. Williams will be joined by Aida Garifullina a Russian soprano with an amazing and spectacular show. However, there are reports claiming that along with the opening ceremony, there will be another concert that will happen in Red Square in Moscow.

Russian pitch is all set to observe all the excitement and happiness of the players as well as the fan. Even Williams can’t hold his excitement while talking to FIFA in which he expressed how happy he is with the opportunity he got. He stated, “I’m so happy and excited to be going back to Russia for such a unique performance. I’ve done a lot in my career, and opening the FIFA World Cup to 80,000 football fans in the stadium and many millions all over the world is a boyhood dream,”

The champions are defended by Germany whereas France, Spain and Brazil are among the teams that want to take the trophy at their home. Well, we have to wait and see what will happen in the upcoming tournament with all the excitement pouring in.
