The video become the topic for the town and people are posting and sharing it online. However, a minister whose brother, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy reported that it is nothing but a photo-op blunder that occur at the relief camp in Hassan district on Monday.
“There wasn't enough space." Kumaraswamy have curiously defended the minister by stating this. His brother who is the state Public Words Department Minister was seen taking out the biscuit packet from official that were around and lobbing them on the victims of flood – kids, men and even women that were sitting on the floor right in front of him. The video was taken off by the news channel and was then circulated all over social media network. Revanna was slammed by audience and was named as insensitive by the audience of Facebook and Twitter.
Even some of the senior BJP leader such as S Suresh Kumar accused him for being so arrogant, he asked in a Facebook post, Dear Public Works Minister, throwing biscuits (at the flood victims) is not a public work... Is it the bloated ego, uncivilised behaviour... behind throwing biscuits?"
The brother, Chief Minister, came into the defense mode for his brother and insisted that the whole act was not out of arrogance. "I have noticed that the issue has come in TV, don't take him otherwise. I have crosschecked... while distributing the biscuits, there were large number of people there and there was no place for movement,"
Even Revanna was hurt and pained by all the allegations that were portrayed in such as awful way. He said that "If he (Revanna) had asked someone else to distribute the packets, the issue wouldn't have come up at all."
Prajwal Revanna, his son also described his father as a humble man who had helped a lot at the flood relief camp and people who are currently suffering due to the complete ordeal.
He added, "My father is a humble person. Since he has concern for the marooned, he had visited relief camps to given them succour," There are many areas of Karanataka that were hit by the heavy rainfall and have suffered a lot. The people that live in those districts are helped by the ministers.
