In a thrilling semifinal happened yesterday on the grounds of Trafford in Manchester, India loses the match by 18 runs. The match was full of thrilling moments from Jadeja and Dhoni partnership to collapse of Rohit Sharma. While chasing an easy target of 240 runs the whole Indian cricket team withered at 221 runs at 49.3 overs. India loses its key batsman Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rahul for just one run each as they got stumped making India 5 for 3, went to 24 for 4 when Dinesh Karthik came and got caught while trying out for six. At one point of time, it seems very difficult for the team to complete 50 hours but soon India recovered and reach to 150 for six at 40 hours owing to amazing batting of Ravindra Jadeja, and an equal contribution from the Dhoni on the other side of the wicket. But as soon the Jadeja got caught the hopes got down.
Soon the wicket of Dhoni falls down and the fear of defeat becomes very evident on the faces of players as well as fans in the stadium. Credit to the New Zealand win goes to Ross Taylor as well as the captain of the team Kane Williamson who battered well a day previously, bowlers and fielders were also fired on the ground while playing against the strongest opponent India in the semi-final match. After losing the match, the team left dejected.

Batsman Rohit Sharma tweeted “it feels very disappointing to not cross the finish line after coming so far”, he also praised the New Zealand team for their convincing performance and the victory.
Virat Kohli Twitted, “share your emotions we all are feeling low right now”. Ex-captain and ace cricketer Sourav Ganguly has criticized coach for not sending M.S Dhoni at number five, “asking Karthik and Ravindra Jadeja to play before Dhoni was a huge mistake” he tweeted.
