In a thrilling semifinal happened yesterday on the grounds of Trafford in Manchester, India loses the match by 18 runs. The match was full of thrilling moments from Jadeja and Dhoni partnership to collapse of Rohit Sharma. While chasing an easy target of 240 runs the whole Indian cricket team withered at 221 runs at 49.3 overs. India loses its key batsman Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rahul for just one run each as they got stumped making India 5 for 3, went to 24 for 4 when Dinesh Karthik came and got caught while trying out for six. At one point of time, it seems very difficult for the team to complete 50 hours but soon India recovered and reach to 150 for six at 40 hours owing to amazing batting of Ravindra Jadeja, and an equal contribution from the Dhoni on the other side of the wicket. But as soon the Jadeja got caught the hopes got down.

Soon the wicket of Dhoni falls down and the fear of defeat becomes very evident on the faces of players as well as fans in the stadium. Credit to the New Zealand win goes to Ross Taylor as well as the captain of the team Kane Williamson who battered well a day previously, bowlers and fielders were also fired on the ground while playing against the strongest opponent India in the semi-final match. After losing the match, the team left dejected.

Many star cricketers from the team have shared heartfelt sad notes on their official Twitter account soon after the match finishes.
