It was a plan to kill me, says Arvind Kejriwal

According to a report by News agency ANI, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, alleged that the person who attacked him with Chilli Powder was actually planning to take his life. The CM gave this statement on Wednesday.

Kejriwal said that this is the fourth attack on him in the last two years. Talking about the severity of the issue, Kejriwal said, “It is not a minor issue. These attacks aren’t taking place, they are being ordered. These people want me dead, which is why they are ordering attacks again and again.”

The attack happened on Kejriwal two days ago when he was going to take his lunch in the secretariat. When Kejriwal was just moving out of his office, a man came and handed a slip to CM’s secretary. While handling the slip, a packet of Chilli Powder fall from his hand. All this was caught on CCTV camera. The man is identified with name Anil Kumar Sharma.

Just after the attack, Aam Party Party called for a press conference and spokesperson of the party criticised Delhi Police for being so careless. When the police said that the act could be unintentional, AAP party rebuked the Delhi police for making excuses instead of owning the responsibility of its carelessness.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, backed Arvind Kejriwal and said that BJP leader knew all about the possible and was planning to kill the CM.

Manish Sisodia said to the media, “After failing to stop Kejriwal from working for the people of Delhi, now the BJP wants him eliminated. The entire series of events indicate that top BJP leadership had knowledge of the attack. The Facebook profile of the accused and his comments after being apprehended yesterday makes it amply clear that he is a member of the BJP. His profile photo is of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his entire social media presence is filled with vitriolic hate against Arvind Kejriwal.”

According to the spokesperson and leaders of Aam Admi Party, the BJP is directly involved in the attack of CM.

On Tuesday, the deputy chief minister had accused the BJP of colluding with the Delhi Police to attack Kejriwal.
