The political grounds in Jammu and Kasmir are as hot as a nucleus of a star, Apparently, J&K’s governor has burned his feet on it.
Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik hinted to the people that chances are high that he gets transferred to somewhere else. His hint came after his comment on PDP’d leader Sajad Lone. Governor earlier had said that Sajad Lone would have been the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir if he had followed BJP Govt’s orders.
According to a news by the Indian Express, Governor Malik was attending a function to mark the death anniversary Congress leader Girdhari Lal Dogra in Jammu. While speaking to the public in function, Malik said, “As long as I’m here – it is not in my hands – I don’t know when I will be transferred from here. I will not lose my job but the threat of transfer is there. As long as I am here, I assure you, people, that whenever you call me, I will come here to pay my tributes.”
These doubts of Doubt came from Malik as he earlier commented on Sajad Lone. He had said, “If I was following the Centre’s orders, I would have to make [People’s Conference leader Sajad] Lone the chief minister.”
“The Governor can’t rip me apart in the media...” he said. “It is not good that you go on TV and portray every Kashmiri as corrupt. We won’t take it. It was a very disdainful, disrespectful characterisation of Kashmiris,” Malik added while speaking at the function
All this controversy started when he dissolved the state assembly a few days ago. Just hours before the step of the governor, three parties; People’s Democratic Party, Congress and National Conference had made the announcement that they are going to make an alliance in order to form a government
