Lawmaker not invited, Arvind Kejriwal to skips off the ‘At home’ President Occasion

Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister will skip off the ‘at home’ customary high tea hosted by the President Ram Nath Kovind on the Independence Day Occasion. Kejriwal's decision is like a backdrop of the presidential palace pruning the list of the invitees that has kept off the national capital’s legislators out of the occasion.

The President Press Secretary Ashok Makil passed everything as some fake news as asserted that Kejriwal has been invited to attend the President’s ‘At home’. The cared were even delivers and the top well-known chief minister’s protocol department had event told a called from Rashtrapati Bhavan that the CM of Delhi will not be able to attend the event as per the tweet made by Malik that complete with a copy of register with the acknowledgement. The invite was delivered and received on July 26th 2018.
Ashok Malik tweeted, “Just to refute some fake news. CM Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi has very much been invited to the President’s Aug 15 At Home. Card no. 49 was delivered and it’s reception confirmed by the CM’s protocol dept. The CM’s protocol dept told a caller from RB the CM would not be attending”

Even the lawmaker of AAP and the spokesman Saurabh Bharadwaj didn’t take up Malik on this whole situation. However, they have asked why the practice of inviting out the national capital legislators had been dispensed with. Since, last year, the National capital region legislators were invited to this event and this is a new implication that is made out by the President’s ‘at home’ this time only.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP lawmaker and party spokesperson stated that “From 26 Jan & 15 Aug 2014 to 26 Jan 2017, I had got total 7 invitations from @rashtrapatibhvn till Kovind Ji became president in July 2017
How can the staff of the First Citizen of India, our respected President, Head of the Republic be engaged in petty politics at National Events”

He added further, "Sir, We MLAs of Delhi were always invited by all Presidents before Kovind Ji. After Kovind Ji became President, 3-decade old tradition has been stopped," In this, he describes Rashtrapati Bhavan's decision as a humiliation to all of the legislator of the national capital.

He even said that he had received a total of seven invites from Rashtrapati Bhavan from 26th January 2014 onwards.
