The Taliban Pakistan that is known as terrorist group appointed Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud as their new chief after replacing Mullah Fazlullah. Fazlullah was killed in the US drone strike recently in Afghanistan’s resive Kunar province.
Mehsud, 39, is a religious scholar, now replace his leader Fazlullah as the chief of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He was the one to order an assassination of the Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
The birth of their new year took place in South Waziristan in a small village on 29th June 1978. The news was announced by the TTP spokesman Mohammad Khurasani. He stated that the leader got his successor after his murder. Mehsud was appointed as a new leader of TTP.
He also added that now, Mufti Hazratullah is Mehsud’s deputy that can take a decision and listen on the behalf of their chief.
As per the sources, Mehsud is a citizen of Tiarza area that is in the South Waziristan. He completed his education in the religious seminaries of Pakistan.
It is assumed that he is the writer of the Urdu titled book, “Inqalab-e-Mehsud-South Waziristan: Farangi Raj says Amreeki Samraj Tak” (Mehsud Revolution and South Waziristan: From British Raj to American Imperialism).
In his book, he wrote on the behalf of Taliban has claimed the first time that the TTP terrorist was involved in the murder of Benazir Bhutto, the former premier in Rawalpindi in 2007.
He also confessed that the platforms of TTP were used for the kidnapping, extortion and killing in order to get some money to finance the activities of their group.
In 2017, in the South Waziristan, Mehsud is said to survive the Drone strike attack in which total of eight Taliban terrorists was killed.
However, no one knows the current location of Mehsud but is assumed to be hiding in a region in Afghanistan.
Fazlullah was also known by the name Maulana Radio and Radio mullah due to his long sermons on the private radio channel. He was a big name in the TTP and he became more famous after his emir in 2013.
In 2012, he led the TTP operation in Pakistan’s restive Swat Valley where Malala Yousafzai was shot.
There was the news of Fazlullah death in 2010 and in 2014 which were later confirmed to be the false news or rumours.
