Newspaper’s Voice Rang Out, Amongst Horror In Its Newsroom

On Thursday, the Capital Gazette newspaper felt the horror when a gunman burst into the office that was just outside Maryland, Annapolis. Some of the employees managed to flee from the location and saved their lives. However, five of them were not able to save their lives and were shot dead while twenty others were wounded by the gunshot.

Due to the journalism their main scope, they did what their job was. The news spread like fire in the whole place.

At 2:43 p.m., a Capital Gazette intern, Anthony Messenger used his twitter handle to spread the news “Active shooter 888 Bestgate please help us”, which become the first public report of the horrifying scene.

The police and emergency worker get started with the work and descended the mentioned address. Soon enough, there were grim outlines of the scene that was making the headlines. Just fem moment of inexplicable horror, one of the newspaper managed to become a story for the people and other media agencies.

There is still no clear how a small community newspaper managed to come up with the news article and video of the riot in the short span of two hours. It trusted from the Baltimore Sun which is a sister paper.

Throughout the afternoon, the sun was covering the capital gazette depressing news on their website.

The Capital is an Annapolis daily newspaper that has a very special pedigree among people. With a deeper past, it was founded in 1884 and become the nation births. In 1727, a sister paper known as Maryland Gazette was founded in the Annapolis which is the first Colonial paper that publishes the declaration of independence.

After a single tweet by Messenger, it was followed up by other around or in the scene.

Phil Davis, the Capital reporter tweet at 3:42, "A single shooter shot multiple people at my office, some of whom are dead,"

This was followed by one more tweet of his, Gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire on multiple employees. Can't say much more and don't want to declare anyone dead, but it's bad."

Which was followed by the more gripping ending, there is nothing more terrifying than hearing multiple people get shot while you're under your desk and then hear the gunman reload."

The shooting might have stopped in the newsroom but it has created a fire among people with heart-breaking columns by the other surviving employees.
