Congress is making new allies in order to defeat BJP in next elections. But in the row of making new allies, it is forgetting to keep up with the old ones.
Former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav attacked the Congress for not giving any ministerial position to Samajwadi Party candidate in Madhya Pradesh cabinet.
In the MP state elections, Congress emerged as the largest party and hence made the Govt with the help of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samajwadi Party. Congress made its Govt earlier this month but ministers took the oath this week. Samajwadi Party was expecting at least one ministerial position in the MP cabinet.
In a press conference held on Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav told the press, “Thanks to the Congress, they did not make our legislator a minister.” Akhilesh clearly hinted that both the parties will run independently in the next general elections.
Taking advantage of the situation, Shivpal Yadav, Party chief of Pragatisheel Samajwadi party and uncle of Akhilesh Yadav, said that PSP is ready to support Congress in the next Lok Sabha elections. According to a report by news agency PTI, Shivpal Yadav was attending a programme in Bareilly on Thursday, and there he gave the statement. He said, “ We have our party’s organisation in 75 districts of the state. The party has decided to contest all the seats against the BJP...to defeat the BJP, we can also enter into an alliance with the Congress.”
When reporters asked Shivpal about his views on the “cast of Lord Hanuman”, Shivpal said, “He is a God and those who are out to confine him to a particular caste have a very narrow mindset.”
The former Samajwadi leader also gave comments on Ram Mandir. He said that instead of building Ram Mandir on the disputed site in Ayodhya, Ram Mandir should be built near Saryu river where a lot of lands is available.
