After making Govt in three states, Congress is going to claim back its stature on a national level. Rahul Gandhi made some remarks on Tuesday about the BJP Govt and its policies.
Congress party had promised loan wavering in its 2018 states manifesto and they fulfilled the promise within hours of taking the oath of Chief Ministers. Congress Supremo Rahul Gandhi used the opportunity to gain the leverage.
Rahul said that the united opposition is not going to let Prime Minister sleep at night until he waives loans of poor farmers in pan India.
He also alleged that Modi Govt is only supporting “crony capitalism”. He also said that centre turns a blind eye when it comes to loans of Big Industrialists.
According to a report by Mint, Gandhi said, “We have said that the main fight in India is between farmers and the segregated sections on the one hand and rich industrialists on the other. Modi in the last four years has taken Rs 3.5 lakh crore and has put it in the pockets of a few rich people. We will not let Modi sleep until loans of all farmers are waived.”
Congress has waived the loans in Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh while Rajasthan is the next on the list, according to Gandhi. These three are the states where Congress recently won state election and made Govt. with coalition or by alone.
Ravishankar Prasad, senior BJP leader of Bhartiya Janta Party and a minister in Centre, reacted to Rahul’s statements. He said, “Friends, I am given to understand that Rahul Gandhi today said that he will not allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sleep. This is a new low in the public discourse of the country,” according to PTI.
Mocking Rahul Gandhi, Ravishankar Prasad also said that what else could we expect from Rahul Gandhi and Congress who didn’t let whole India sleep in its tenure of Sixty years.
