Donald Trump is famous for his big mouth. But, sometimes he says things from the same “big mouth” which everyone expects to be out. Trump was criticised heavily by some leaders to break diplomatic ties with Pakistan and his decision to stop military aid to Pakistan of millions of US Dollars. Now, Trump gave replies to those critics in an interview given to Fox News on Sunday. Trump defended his administration decision by saying that Pakistan hasn’t done “a damn thing” for the United States of America. You read that right. “A damn thing”. Well, that’s Trump for you!
He said that Pakistan Govt had helped various terrorist organisations like AL Qaeda. He also said that Osama Bin Laden was living in Pakistan, only with the help of Pakistani administration.
Talking about Osama Bin Laden, Trump said, “You know, living – think of this – living in Pakistan, beautifully in Pakistan in what I guess they considered a nice mansion, I don’t know, I’ve seen nicer."
It’s hard to understand Trump’s half broken sentences, but it looks like Trump is trying to curse Pakistani Govt here.
Trump said that Laden was living in Pakistan, right next to a military camp. How could that be possible without the involvement of Pakistani Govt?
“Everybody in Pakistan knew that Bin Laden was here. And we give Pakistan USD 1.3 billion a year. ... (Laden] lived in Pakistan, we’re supporting Pakistan, we’re giving them USD 1.3 billion a year -- which we don’t give them any more, by the way, I ended it because they don’t do anything for us, they don’t do a damn thing for us," Trump added.
The decision of cancelling the monetary aid to Pakistan was taken by Trump’s administration in September. He cancelled by saying that Pakistan is not doing enough to stop the terrorist group, some groups are there in its own soil but Pakistan has failed to them.
Last year, too, Trump had attacked Pakistan by saying that Pakistan is like safe heavens to “agents of chaos”.
