Singapore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on has landed in Singapore, he is on visit for two days. He arrived there on Wednesday and is planning to participate in a few inter-nations meetings. Firstly, Narendra Modi will attend the East Asia Summit. It is an ASEAN-India informal meet. After that PM will be attending an ASEAN-India informal meet. In an early informal meeting, Prime Minister adressed to public at the Singapore Fintech Summit.
In his address, the PM tried to lure global investors present there. He assured them that India was the best destination for tech. He also highlighted that India has its own Sillicon valley (Bengaluru) and has achieved advances in technological field. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended a bilateral meeting with US Vice President Mike Pence. His meeting with Mike Pence got the soptlight of Modi’s two days tour. The meeting was held on Wednesday.
According to reports by News Agency PTI, PM Modi said, "We are in an age of a historic transition brought about by technology. The character of the global economy is changing. Technology is defining competitiveness and power in the new world. And it is creating boundless opportunities to transform lives."
The Ministry of Home Affairs talked to the media about Narendra Modi’s meeting with Mike Pence. The Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement, “The discussions between PM Modi and US Vice-President touched both upon bilateral relations and regional and international issues. Vice President Pence acknowledged that India had made progress economically. He felt India is a positive factor in regional and international relations,"
