Rats abandon first when a ship sank. And the news is, Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) has abandoned BJP, walked out of NDA and joined hands with Congress to form a united coalition.
Senior Congress leader and treasurer of All India Committee Ahmed Patel announced on Thursday that RLSP is ready to support Congress and make an alliance in 2019 general elections. He announced it in a press conference in the presence of Tejaswini Yadav, Sharad Yadav, and RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha.
Ahmed Patel said to the media, “There is a Gathbandhan in Bihar, it's a matter of happiness that Upendra Kushwaha is joining the Mahagathbandhan."
Upendra said that he has joined the united coalition as people were hurting his sentiments in the NDA and Narendra Modi stood there as a silent spectator. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav showed a wholeheartedness towards him.
He confirmed the “Mahagathbandhan” in a number of Tweets.
Addressing to the questions of reports Kushwaha said, “We had said that we have many options and UPA was one of them. The wholeheartedness shown by Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav is one of the reasons I joined but the biggest reason I'm here is the people of Bihar,"
Just a few days ago, Kushwaha wrote a letter a letter to the Prime Minister as a resignation letter. Kushwaha writes in the letter, “Having served in your council of ministers for the last 55 months, I stand dejected and betrayed by your leadership. There has been a fundamental problem in what you promised to the people before elections and what you have actually delivered after coming to power.”
