Today, Narendra Modi, PM performed yoga at the Forest Research Institute camps with over 50,000 yoga fanatic. He also said that Indian discipline has emerged as the unifying force in a strife-torn world.
He addressed the large gathering in the backdrop of the building of iconic British-era FRI. He said that yoga has shown a path from illness to wellness and has been enriching the globe all around.
He also added that yoga has become the mass movement that is rounding off the globe keeping the main motive of wellbeing and good health in mind which is very crucial for the development of the world.
"Dehradun to Dublin, Shanghai to Chicago, Jakarta to Johannesburg, Himalayan highlands or sunburnt deserts, Yoga is enriching millions of lives all over the world. Yoga fosters amity in societies which can form the basis of national unity," the prime minister said.
"In Yoga, we have the perfect solution to the problems we face, either as individuals or in our society," the prime minister said.
Even the UN supported Yoga day proposal in a record time and was supported by maximum people which are a bigger achievement. He added that the world has taken a new outcome on the yoga and people are excepting the trend.
"If we don't take pride in our own legacy and heritage no one else will. We should not hesitate in honouring the gems of our own heritage.” He said, it a way to be creative, calm and content life. "Instead of dividing, yoga unites. Instead of further animosity, yoga assimilates. Instead of increasing suffering, yoga heals," he said.
"Yoga is beautiful because it is ancient yet modern, it is constant yet evolving," he said. "India's legacy of which yoga is a significant part is unique and rich. We must take pride in it," the prime minister said. "From Tokyo to Toronto from Stockholm to Sao Paulo yoga has become a positive influence in the lives of millions," Modi said.
