New Delhi: RSS Leader Dr Indresh Kumar, on Monday slammed Farooq Abdullah over his remarks that people of Jammu & Kashmir should protest for their sacrifices like farmers, promoting peace by such a statement.

RSS Leader mocked People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti for staging a protest in Delhi against the alleged repression of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, saying "it has become a fashion for her to tell lies".

On Monday, Mufti had staged a protest at Jantar Mantar against the repression of the people of Jammu and Kashmir as she wasn't allowed to protest in Kashmir.  She claimed that every time she organised a protest, she was either held at her home or hauled away by police.

Hundreds of PDP workers joined her in the Jantar Mantar rally.

The provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution were repealed in August 2019, and the former state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into Union territories.

In response to the reporters' inquiries, Kumar claimed that Abdullah and Mufti are fighting the repeal of Article 370 because they were "somehow or another" linked to "the forces" hurting India. Following the repeal of Article 370, India became a country with "one nationality, one flag, one law, and one constitution.
 
He asked Abdullah and Mufti to refrain from making "anti-national announcements and becoming "an obstruction" in the country's unity and integrity. Both the leaders from Jammu and Kashmir should stop playing the "politics of provocation" and becoming an obstruction in maintaining the country's unity and integrity, added Dr Kumar. 

He also announced that on December 11th, a daylong international conference titled "Global Terrorism versus Humanity, Peace and Possibilities — Fundamentalism: The Dividing Line, A Case Study of Afghanistan" will be held here under the auspices of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, the Vishwagram, and the Forum for Awareness of National Security.

"The world continues to confront the serious concerns of terrorism, violence, and fundamentalism," Dr. Indresh Kumar told the media delegates as he briefed them on the conference. As a result of these factors, authoritarian governments and intolerant societies continue to grow, coercively oppressing their own populations in the name of religious fundamentalism. The Taliban in Afghanistan is the most recent embodiment of this scenario, representing one of the most heinous manifestations of global terrorism's threat to humanity's existence.

"In order to meet such a task, we must use the transcendental instrument of human values to address the bigger problem of global terrorism." In this sense, India, a land of numerous faiths, a tolerant and inclusive culture, and a lively community known for its many festivals, may demonstrate the way forward.
