Hima Das shines again, won the second international 200mt gold in Poland

The polish sky was filled with tricolor as the star sprinter Hima das won women 200 mt race to claim the top spot. This is the second winning spree of the athlete as she won consecutive international gold. She was attending “Kutno Athletic Meet” in Poland on Sunday. As soon Hima won the medal the stadium echoed with the” JAN GAN MAN” filing the whole team with thrill.

Moreover, Hema was struggling with her back problem for a few months and was unable to perform in the practice session This has come up as the true winning moment. She manages to finish the race at a scoring speed of 23.97s second whereas VK Vismaya has bagged in for silver by finished in 24.06 seconds.

Indian national record holder Muhammed Anas also brought the pride to the country as he won the gold in men's 200 mt race with a ravishing time of 21.8 seconds. However, Hima has missed her own best which was 23.01 s she has clocked in last year. This is Hima’s second international competitive race in which he has participated as well won.

The first international race in which she participated was “Pozam Athletic Grand Pix” that too took place in Poland, and she managed to seal the gold. The Assam runner scorched the race in 23.65 seconds. In a similar race, Vimsaya has managed to finish at third and bagged bronze medal with finishing at 23.75 seconds.

Although Hima is an ace 400 mt runner and a national record holder, she is spreading her magic in 200 mt also.  She is the world junior champion in 400 mt.

In the 400 mt hurdle race, the team India also shined as MP Jabir won the gold in 50.21 seconds, while another athlete Jithin Paul finishes at third position with 52.26 seconds.

However the team was a swept away in the women 400 mt race as P Saritaben finishes at 52.77 seconds, Sonia Baishya managed to finish at 53.73 seconds and R Vithya in 53.73 seconds.
