The famous actress Meena Kumari of her era is today 86th birthday. People know Meena Kumari from Tragedy Queen to Cinderella. He is remembered for films such as Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, Pakeezah, Mere Apne, Baiju Bawra, Dil Apna and Preet Paraayi. Born on August 1, 1932, the original name of Meena Kumari was Mahjabeen Bano. Her life was a tragedy to fans that is they named her “The Tragedy Queen”.

When she was born, father Ali Bakhsh and mother Iqbal Begum did not have the money to give to the doctor. Both decided that the girl was left out of an orphanage and had been left out. But, the father's mind did not believe it and he ran away and raised the baby in the lap and brought it back home.


 
Meena Kumari had picked up all the burden of the family on his shoulders at an early age. From the age of seven, she started working in films. They first appeared in the film 'Farzad-e-Hind' by the name of baby Meena. After this, she has done many films like Lal Haveli, Annapurna, Sanam, Tamasha and many more. But she made her star shines in the 1952 film 'Baiju Bawra'. After this film, she constantly went on the stairs of success. Meena Kumari's also received Filmfare Best Actress Award for 'Baiju Bawra' She was the first actress to receive this award.
 
Meena Kumari, who won high success in the career, had the same problems in her personal life. From birth to the last days, she suffered from serval ups and downs. The story of her marriage with Kamal Amrohi is also very interesting. But, their relationship has never been sweet. When Kamal Amrohi was making Pakeezah, he was seriously caught in a financial crisis. Meena Kumari helped her husband by giving all her assets and savings. Despite this, the relationship between the two did not work and during the film, the relationship reached a divorce. After that with the crisis of money, Meena was captured by severe diseases.





Meena Kumari got very sick at the shooting of Pakeezah which was Amrohi 's ambitious film, but she was not able to make it finish. The shooting began after years on the request of Sunil Dutt and Nargis. Meena Kumari remained the part of this film of Kamal even after the divorce.
 
After 14 years, on February 4, 1972, the film got released on the silver screen. By then the condition of Mina had worsened. She was constantly doing films in the condition of illness, but the disease had become untreatable. Finally, on March 31, 1972, Meena Kumari said goodbye to the world due to liver cirrhosis.
