According to Ministry of Health and Welfare, number of active cases in country is 2,03,486 while recoveries exceeds active cases with around 1 lakh cases. Number of recoveries in the country is 3,10,239 with recovery rate of 58.56%. This difference comes just after the day when India crossed the grim mark of 5 lakh. India became fourth country in the world tally of Corona Virus after US, Brazil and Russia. As per the analysis of Union Health Ministry, the dreadful virus took 110 days to affect one lakh people in India while it took just 39 days to reach the grim mark of five lakh cases on June 27.
There is the total increase of 3,18,418 cases in the country since Unlock phase 1 came into effect. After the upliftment of lockdown, there is an alarming increase in number of cases. Health ministry alleged that mainly eight states of the country including Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh accounted for the total of 97% of the fatalities in the country. Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the fact that Number of recoveries in Country is more than number of active cases. He also said that country is in a better place than other countries due to nationwide imposed lockdown. Meanwhile, PM also asked people to be cautious against the virus and should follow the necessary guidelines. PM Modi was quoted saying that, “In fact, we have to be even more careful now. Wearing masks, following social distancing, avoiding crowded places remain important”.
