PM Modi will be addressing the nation at 4 pm today and it will be his fifth addressal since March 19.
Just a day before of addressal coming up, Ministry of Home Affairs issued the guidelines for Unlock
2.0. however, nothing has been changed much other than the new night curfew timings, i.e., 10 pm
– 5 am. After the standoff between India and China where 20 soldiers got martyred, it is the first
addressal of PM Modi.
On Sunday, PM Modi on his radio ‘Mann Ki Baat’ segment said that India gave befitting reply to the
one who saw Indian territory of Ladakh with evil eyes. PM Modi also mentioned that country
respects the spirit of friendship but meanwhile, country is also capable of giving necessary response
to adversary. Prime Minister also emphasised on using locally made goods and follow the ‘vocal for
local’ idea in order to push the Indian goods and talent.
Government also banned 59 Chinese apps on Monday, saying that, “activities which are prejudicial
to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order." It can be
seen that the movement of boycotting Chinese goods is prevailing all over the country. PM Modi
said, “If India knows how to maintain friendship, it can also confront someone and give an adequate
response. Our brave soldiers made it clear that they will not allow anyone to taint the honour of
Mother India”.
